Panama, Central America

Feb-2010

There were times that the destinations we’d select for travel would be by looking at the map and seeing what area we haven’t conquered yet.  At other times, by looking at the passenger load factor giving us the greatest chances in making the flights.  In combining both, Panama, Central America was the next quick long weekend getaway.

The drive from the airport was quite long, but upon arriving, we surely hit the jackpot with this resort.  Stretched along the shore, covered in darker sand that we’re usually accustomed to, was an endless vacant beach.

The resort was extremely well kept and the food was tasty and in abundance.  With Paul around, any activity available, he would surely be the first to join in.  With his great nautical sailing skills, we had to try the catamaran.  I wasn’t impressed, but we did ultimately make it back to shore.

For a quick long weekend getaway, spending time away always creates excitement and fulfillment.  Paul and I were ones that truly took our flight benefits to a different level.  It’s a shame we didn’t end up seeing the Panama Canal this time around, but will surely do so in the future.
