With Nick and Elaina living in Naples Florida at the time, our quick visits to the Sun capital would happen regularly.  Provided, of course, flights were opened.  For the most part, we’ve always managed to make it late evenings, mid day, or even during the very early part of the morning.  It either case, we were always welcomed with open arms.

This time around, Milena and Alessia were able to tag along and take advantage of some fun in the sun.

Their house was gorgeous and had a great lanai completely covering their pool.  No bugs, no sand just water and great weather.

While others relax in the pool, Alexander and I had a score to settle in soccer.

During this time in Naples, it just so happened that our mutual friend Renato and his family were in Fort Lauderdale and ventured over to Naples for a great evening of dinner and laughter.  Not to mention singing Sweet Carolina.  For some reason, making fools of ourselves on vacation is always tolerated.

One can’t forget friendly competition with foosball.

Looking back at all these gatherings make you realize what is truly important in life.  Friends, families and shared memories that continuously come back in conversations.

As of late 2018 Nick and Elaina have sold their house and moved to Oakville Ontario.  Our next visit won’t involve a plane ride, palm trees and assured weather, but more like car ride, freezing rain and Russian Roulette for weather.  In either case, it really doesn’t matter for friendship has no barriers.
